LEISURE
Leisure harbour

Given its configuration and location the Leisure Harbour of Nazaré is considered one of the most sheltered harbours of the Portuguese western coast, and surely the most protected harbour north of Lisbon.

Located halfway between the western borders of the Iberian Peninsula and the Navigation Route , passing trough northern Europe to the Mediterranean Sea , this harbour is one of the most recommendable ports of call.

Inaugurated in 1986, the harbour is navigable by pleasure boats up to 15 meters long and draught inferior to 3, 5 meters . There isn’t any navigation service available, so the port entrance must be done carefully, especially at night or with stormy weather. Radio listening is permanent on VHF channel 16/68 and channel 9.

The
Leisure Harbour has a total of 123 anchoring-places divided by two entities:
    -
Naval Club of Nazaré with 72 anchoring-places,
    - Marina Centre of Nazaré’s Harbour with 53 anchoring-places.

Basic support services for boats are available: water supply; electricity; fire extinguishers; rescue equipment and first aid services; used oils, batteries and diverse garbage picking recipients. For the users’ support the Harbour has the following facilities: reception; baths; laundry; tourist information and weather forecast services.
